Hello, Fellow Translator!
How are you? I hope you’re doing well in this short month. Below is a summary of the latest updates and exciting new features introduced in Translator++ up to version 7.2.27. Let’s dive into what’s new!
Advanced Settings on KAG and Tyrano
As you may know, KAG (Kiri-Kiri Adventure Game) scripting, which is also utilized by Tyrano, features a unique tag-based system. Translators often face challenges when working with games that have complex scripts. To tackle these issues, KAG Parser version 1.12 introduces advanced settings that give users greater control over handling tags within Kiri-Kiri scripts.
Literal Tags
The Literal Tags option ensures that the script within a cell remains intact and is not split by tags. By default, tags such as [r]
(line break) and [ruby]
(furigana annotation) are preserved, maintaining the natural flow and structure of the text during translation.

Capture Tags and Attributes
With the Capture Tags and Attributes feature, you can now extract attributes embedded within tags and integrate them directly into the Translator++ workspace. This streamlines the process of managing and translating tagged content with precision.

Define How to Identify Actor Names
The Define How to Identify Actor Names feature empowers Translator++ to detect actor names within the script(e.g., [CharaName]
) . These names can then be displayed using the “Show Header Info” option. This is especially helpful for keeping track of actor references, as it provides valuable context that enhances the accuracy of AI-assisted translations.

Benefits:
- Improves AI translation accuracy with character context
- Streamlines actor reference tracking
Tyrano Parser 1.8
The Tyrano Parser has also received significant updates in version 1.8. Here are the highlights:
- TyranoTrans – Change the Default Unpacker to AEC: The default unpacker has been switched to AEC, offering improved performance and compatibility when handling Tyrano-based projects.
- TyranoTrans – Supports Projects Compiled with Electron (ASAR Package): Translator++ now supports projects compiled using Electron, specifically accommodating ASAR packages. This expands its versatility, allowing you to work seamlessly with a broader range of project formats.
