Translator++ Ver. 6.8.28 – SRPG Studio support

Greetings fellow translators,

How are you all doing this summer? The country where I live has been hit by typhoons in various places. I hope you are all safe and well.

Lately, I’ve been incredibly busy with my main job (did I mention that I work on Translator++ in my spare time?), so I’ve had to juggle coding, debugging, R&D, answering your questions, posting tutorials, creating videos, and more. Unfortunately, some tasks have been neglected. If only I could clone myself! The content writer I hired has also been busy these past few months. But don’t worry, you can always get support and updates on the Translator++ Discord channel: https://discord.gg/6Dv97C87xt

Highlights of This Month:

ChatGPT Batch Manager Improvement

You can now edit translation results individually in the ChatGPT Batch Manager.

Refine translations result manually in ChatGPT Batch Manager tool

This feature gives you full control over your batch translations.

Solution for Annoying AI Translation Errors

Previously, you might have encountered the error “Expected xx, but xx were generated” when using AI translation (ChatGPT, GeminiAI, etc.). This was due to incorrect data from the AI endpoint. Now, the details of the expected and generated information will be displayed in the log. This is crucial for improving your AI prompts.

The basic prompt and default configuration have also been significantly improved. I’ve tested it repeatedly and applied the best results as the default configuration.

Hit the reset button on the newly introduced preset manager to use the default configuration.

SRPG Studio Support

SRPG Studio support has been added. Many people requested support for this niche engine. The reason it took so long is due to its unique and complex structure. Almost all file types are encrypted differently. It seems the developer focused more on securing resources than improving the editor’s QOL.

Translatable text in this engine is scattered in various locations and formats. There are two main text locations: the srpgs file and the localization.dat file. Currently, Translator++ fully supports the translation of localization.dat.

I’m also working on support for translating srpgs files. Expect a release soon.

Bunch of utility for SRPGS is also has been added.

SRPG Studio Unpacker & Repacker

Alternative WolfRPG Parser

I’ve added a new method for translating WolfRPG using WolfTL by SinFlower.

Please update your Translator++ to the latest version 6.8.28.
You can also grab the update package here.

Cheers,
