In today’s software landscape, having an AI assistant is quickly becoming the industry standard for GUI-based applications. Translator++ has always strived to embrace cutting-edge technology, and this new assistant continues that commitment.
Here are some of the things MIRAI can do:
Demo 1: Creating Automation
In Translator++, Automation has always been a versatile tool, capable of streamlining nearly every aspect of the workflow. The challenge, however, was that users had to write the Automation scripts themselves. That limitation is now history. With AI Assistant, Translator++ can automatically generate Automation. Yes, you read that right—Automation that writes itself… how cool is that?
Demo 2: Generating Actor Information for Translation Context
To provide perfect context for AI translation, we need to supply character information. For a long time, this had to be done manually. Now that has been fixed—we can automatically do that too
Demo 3: Proofreading
Translator++ has long been capable of automatic translation, but one critical piece was missing: automated proofreading. That gap has now been closed. With the integration of AI Assistant, users can not only translate seamlessly but also perform proofreading automatically—bringing greater accuracy, consistency, and efficiency to the entire workflow
“Umm… in other words, is this just another tool like Copilot or Cline in VS Code?” You might ask.
Yes and no.
Yes, it can help you generate and consult on things. But it’s more than that. You got the control beyond what copilot has provided. Because all the settings are open and transparent, you have full control to modify, improve, and customize the AI Assistant. It’s quite powerful.
In short, you gain access to the function call configuration, and you can even run the code directly from there. Essentially, this setup requires far less programming effort. However, this deserves its own dedicated tutorial, which we’ll cover separately.
Without doubt, this new tool opens the door to nearly limitless possibilities.
